William D. Needham, Sr.

William D. Needham Sr., 81, of Newark Valley passed away on January 24, 2019. He was survived by his loving companion Arlene Ronk; son William (Barbara) Needham, Jr., and daughter Jean (Mark) Wallace; grandchildren Jarad (Kathryn) Needham, and Jordan Needham; and great grandson Ansel; sister Lillian Gregrow; many nieces and nephews; the mother of his children Ann Hernandez; and special extended family, the Beebes. He will also be missed by his loyal canine companion Cocoa. Bill was predeceased by his son Scott, parents William and Bernice Needham, and several siblings. Bill graduated from Newark Valley High School, where he lettered in football, basketball and track and field. He was a standout athlete and loved telling everyone about it! Bill was a longtime dairy farmer and owned and operated Needham Acres in Newark Valley, NY, where he also served on the town board. Bill enjoyed riding ATVs and playing Black Jack. He was an animal lover, and had a soft spot for dogs. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Friends and family are invited to a time of sharing and a celebration of Bills life at Route 38 Bar and Grill on Sunday, January 27th from 3-7pm.
