William D. 'Bill' Brown

William DeLand Brown, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2015 in Berkshire, NY. Bill is survived by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Maria P. Brown; his daughters and sons-in-law: Nicole Brown and Sam Bayard, Natalie and Chris Zornow; his grandchildren Chloe and Vincent Zornow; his mother, Cora Ellen Brown of Apalachin, NY; his siblings, Nancy Pierce, Pam (Ron) Corson, Chris (Judy) Brown, Wendy Brown (Larry Rolfe), and Lisa (Jim) Renda; his sisters-in-law Gigi Panagotacos and Sofia (Steve) Sheets and brother-in-law Alex Nicholas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Frank H. Brown.Bill was a 1970 graduate of Owego Free Academy. He dedicated over 40 years of service to Borg-Warner Automotive in Ithaca, NY. Bill cherished his family, loved classic rock, and enthusiastically rooted for the Giants and the Yankees. His quiet demeanor combined with his quick wit, playful humor, and deep generosity made him a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. His children remember him as a loving, supportive, and patient father who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
