William B. Bishop

William B. Bishop, 88, of Newark Valley, New York, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, with his daughter Lisa at his bedside. William was born on July 4, 1937 in Waverly, New York, and was a son of the late Jospeh and Cecelia (Palmer) Bishop.

He is survived by his children: Brandon Bishop, Lisa (Jerry) Houston, James (Brenda) Bishop, and Kenneth (Ty Sade) Wright, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Additionally, he will be missed by his siblings Diana Cole, Theodore Bishop, and Robert Bishop, and a very kind and caring friend Lou Russell.

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Bishop, James Bishop, Maynard Barrett, a sister, Rosemary Bates, his loving companion Irene Tracy.

Professionally, William drove a concrete truck with various companies throughout his career. Outside of work he enjoyed fishing, watching old western movies, keeping in contact with his loved ones in his many phone calls, and spending time in the quiet beauty of his pond. Many memories were made at his annual 4th of July parties, where he enjoyed the company of family and friends.
