William Ace Hurd

William Ace Hurd, 51, of Willseyville, New York went home to be with his Lord on Friday, October 23, 2020. William received the Lord Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was born again on February 2, 1992. He went home to be with Him after breathing problems caused by pneumonia, asthma and very low oxygen. He is now in his perfect body free from all of this. William will be sorely missed by his wife MerriLyn of 17 years, and daughters Kristin and Esther, who will someday be reunited with him in the Lord's timing. He is also survived by his parents William Hurd and Joyce David, his brother Rich (Tina) Gourley, his sister Pam (Doug) Wilkerson, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He loved his family and did what he could do for them as best as he could. Will just loved people and always wanted to help everyone. He had a joy about him that will be greatly missed. William loved the Lord the most and was a faithful, charter member of Heritage Baptist Church in Campville. A favorite Scripture of his was Galatians 2:20 by which he strove to live his life by: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." A graveside service will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Thursday Oct. 28th at 10 Am. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, is assisting the family with arrangements.
