Wanda Lee Wasicki

Wanda Lee Wasicki, 61, formerly of Newark Valley, passed away on January 23, 2025. Born on June 11, 1963, the daughter of the late Edward Austin and Gail Mack, Wanda's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the boundless love she carried in her heart for everyone she met.

Wanda is survived by her loving children Kaitlynn “Kai” Elaine (Ashley Hamilton) Wasicki, Bobbi Lee (Jessica Hart) Wasicki, and Jessie Grace (Nathan Savage) Wasicki. She will be dearly missed by her sister Deborah (Wade) Johnson, Aunt Esther Mack, Amber Mcmahon, as well as numerous friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was predeceased by her husband Robert Wasicki, her brother Daniel Austin, Uncle Robert “Bobby” Mack and Gorden Mack, as well as the family's loyal dog Freddy

A devoted Christian, Wanda's beliefs were the cornerstone of her existence. Her life was a living example of the biblical teachings of love and hospitality. She had an open-door policy at her home, welcoming friends of her children and treating them as her own. These 'bonus' children found a second home with Wanda, filled with the same love and care she provided to her biological offspring.

Wanda was a beacon of love and a pillar of her community. Her children were the center of her world, and she dedicated herself to their upbringing and happiness. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, touching the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her.

An avid lover of the simple pleasures in life, Wanda found joy in the warmth of campfires, the intricate art of crocheting, and the company of good friends. Her chatty and very social nature made her a cherished companion at gatherings, where her laughter and stories would light up any room.
