Virginia Ward

Virginia Ward, 93, of Montour Falls, passed peacefully on September 28, 2010.Virginia is survived by her dear sister, Helen Ward, several nieces and nephews including her special nephews: John and James Ward of Newark Valley, and her brother-in-law, William Harrington.Born on Feb. 23, 1917 in Waverly, NY, Virginia was a daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Denslow) Ward.She was a home health nurse for 36 years, working mainly in the Albany area. Following retirement she and Helen resided in Florida for several years prior to moving to Montour Falls. Ginny was a talented artist with oil as her medium of choice. In her early years, she held memberships in several Artists Associations. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 5 at Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley. Rev. Nancy J. Adams, pastor of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
