Vicki J. Hammond

Vicki J. Hammond, 62, of Harford, NY passed away on Nov. 21, 2021. Vicki is survived her mother, Marge Holcomb and step-father Paul Slack; her son, Stevie (Shannon) Holcomb; her daughter, Jaime (Jason) Hammond; sisters: Holly Cartwright, Edie (Mike) Hence, Laryssa Holcomb-Card, Debbie Holcomb-Thayer, Nita Slack; brothers: Jeff (Cindy) Holcomb, Buck Slack, Johnny Holcomb; grandchildren: Brett, Cassie, JJ, Myranda, Madlyn; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her best friend and traveling partner, Mike Homer and their fur babies, Thor and Rocco; and Patrick (Maribeth) Conway, her son by choice (haha Stevie)! Vicki was preceded in death by her father and step-mother Rodney and Etta Holcomb. Vicki was a retired payroll clerk for Ithaca City School District and also retired from TST BOCES, Central Business Office. She was a life member of the Richford Fire Dept. and had served as an officer, a member of and served as Local Union President for NYSUT EA, and enjoyed camping and traveling. She had a quick and sometimes sarcastic wit, loved to read and also write romance novels and supplied her family and friends with many of her hand crafted crocheted items. Most especially, Vicki just adored her grandchildren and every moment spent with them. Family services will be private and held at the MacPherson Funeral Home in Newark Valley.
