Velma L. King

Velma L. King, 90, of Owego, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Riverview Manor Health Care in Owego. Velma is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Gay Fisher, her brother: Donald Rogers, sisters: Amanda Reed and Rosemary Rodarmel. She was predeceased by her parents: James and Amanda (Sears) Rogers, her husband, Charles H. King, her twin sister, Thelma White, sister, Beulah Mangin, and brothers James and Mervin Rogers.Velma was a veteran of the US Army Air Force serving during WW II. She was also a retired employee of NCR, Cortland. Following their retirement, Charles and Velma resided in Florida and enjoyed traveling and bowling. Services were held at the convenience of the family. Burial was in Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting the family with arrangements.
