Thomas P. Keller

Thomas Patrick Keller, 87, of Glen Aubrey, went to be with his Lord on Sept. 18, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Tom is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alta (Grow) Keller, his sons: Ric, Randy (Lori) and Thomas (Barbara) Keller, daughters: Julie (Leonard) Boyce, Billie Sue (Steve) Earley, sisters : Dorothy Andruscavage, and Rosemary Ohl, 16 wonderful grandchildren, Donel, Thomas, Stacie, Stephanie, Shannon, Danielle, Robert, Billie Jo, April, Kimberley, Lynette, Amanda, Colten, Kathy, Ronni Lynn and Ashley, 24 great grandchildren, daughters-in-law: Louise Keller Truesdale, Abbie Keller, several nieces and nephews. Some of his dearest friends are Ronald and Linda Cokely, Joy and Robert Simpson, Robert Carnright and Mark Maslar.Born on May 3, 1923 in Swoyersville, PA, Tom was the son of Osmond and Susan (Adamchek) Keller and step-son of Mildred Keller. He was also preceded in death by infant twin daughters, his son Timothy (twin brother of Thomas) his sister, Irene Gober, and son-in-law Donald Wells. Tom was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II. He was a former member of Maine American Legion, a former employee of Hodges Builders in Glen Aubrey and retired from AGWAY. He enjoyed hunting and had a passion for fishing. For the past 30 years his 'other' home was Colonial Campground in Sandy Creek, NY , for 6 months of the year.Tom's family will receive friends on TUESDAY, Sept. 21, from 11am until 1 PM at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. A funeral service and celebration of his life will follow the visitation at 1 PM. Rev. Eddie Maslin, dear friend of the family will officiate. Interment will follow in Allentown Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
