Thomas J Reynolds, Jr.

Thomas J. Reynolds, Jr., 81, of Owego, NY passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Wilson Hospital, Johnson City following a period of declining health. Tom was born on October 13, 1941 in Corning, NY a son of late Eloise (Drake) and Thomas J. Reynolds, Sr. He was a graduate of Corning High School and proudly served his country with the US Air Force. For many years, Tom was employed as the night manager for Hollenbecks in Newark Valley. Tom enjoyed reading, watching the news, spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had a great love for his Irish heritage. Tom will be greatly missed by his daughter: Michelle Reynolds-Prokop (Bob Russell); his son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Deborah Reynolds; his sister and brother-in-law: Kathy and David Beebe; his grandchildren: Michael Reynolds, Jr., Ryan (Kellie) Reynolds, Samantha (Darren) Kannus, Cheyanne (Isaac) Bailey, Brittni Swansbrough; Jacob Prokop, Mckenzie Swansbrough, Hunter Russell, Nicholas Prokop, Harlea Russell; his great grandchildren: Paisley, Lilah, Dion, Parker, Lucas, and was awaiting the arrival of Logan James. Several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Tom was predeceased by his parents; his siblings: Regina Reynolds and Marianne Bailey. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, March 17th from 2 3 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm with Deacon Michael Donovan, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the United State Air Force and the VFW Post 1371. Tom will be laid to rest in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira NY. A celebration luncheon and time of remembering his life will also be held on Sunday, March 19th from 1- 4 pm at Owego Original Italian, Lake Street, Owego.
