Theron A Seymour

Theron A. Seymour, 94, of Owego, finished his race and peacefully entered eternity at home on March 11, 2012. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Ruth and his son Rick. He is survived by his children: Patricia Haagenson, Leah Bass, Claudia Stamp, Diann Owen, Kathy Albertson, Dan, Jack, Dick, Bob and Jim Seymour. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.During WW II, he honorably served in the US Navy on the USS Gainard, most notably in the Okinawa Campaign. He retired from IBM in 1972 following 37 years of employment. Theron was an avid pistol shooter and co-founded the Ithaca Pistol Team. He had won numerous medals and trophies and holds an unbroken record for his superior marksmanship thus having an award named after him. He also enjoyed working in his garden and mowing his lawn.A Memorial Service and Celebration of his life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 17 at The Abide in the Vine Fellowship, 1277 Taylor Rd. Owego, NY. His son, Pastor Bob, will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded.
