Theresa J. Krawic Burleigh

April 5, 1947 — August 13, 2024

Theresa J. Krawic Burleigh, 77, of Berkshire, a beacon of love and devotion, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024. Born on April 5, 1947, the daughter of the late Edmond and Tesse (Andrews) Krawic. Theresa's life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and the joy of simple pleasures.

With an unwavering commitment to her family, Theresa was the proud mother of Robert (Barbara) Burleigh, Cindy (Tim Burkholder) Burleigh Sanner, Charlotte (James Rhodes) Klingle, and Michael (Beth) Burleigh. She raised her children with an abundance of love and a dedication that knew no bounds. Her legacy continued to flourish through the lives of her adored grandchildren, Kristle (Jared) Davenport, Katlynn Hayes, Miranda (Justin) Sanner, Austin (Lexis) Klingle, and Paige (Tristian) Klingle, and her treasured great-grandchildren, Jaylynn, Alexander, Lydia, Grayson, Evelynn, Hazel, and the soon-to-arrive Vivian. Theresa will also be missed deeply by her siblings Ed (Joanne) Krawic, Bill (Diane) Krawic, and Rose (George) Mundell, as well and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Throughout her life, Theresa embodied the virtues of hard work and perseverance. She held multiple jobs, always with the goal of providing for her loved ones. Her work ethic was matched only by her spirit of service, as she was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Theresa's interests painted the picture of a woman who found joy in the simple things. She was an avid viewer of cooking shows, which fueled her passion for cooking, baking, and crafts. Theresa's love for sea turtles reflected her own nature—gentle, patient, and enduring.

Her home was a haven of warmth, where the aroma of her favorite donuts and chocolate marshmallow ice cream often filled the air, much to the delight of her family and friends. Theresa's cat, Emily, was a constant companion, and together they shared many contented moments.

Above all, Theresa was a woman of faith. This faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and triumphs. It was this unwavering faith that imbued her with the qualities of being loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled—traits that resonated deeply with all who knew her.

Abiding Theresa’s wishes, there will be no services. Memories and condolences can be shared in her guestbook at www.macphersonfh.com. The family is under the caring guidance of MacPherson Funeral Home of Newark Valley.
