Sylvia M. Buck

Sylvia M. Buck, 94, of Shirley Rd. Newark Valley, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 26, 2016. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Frances M. Russell; brother Larry (Hazel) VanSusan; grandchildren Susan (David) Kaminsky and Carl Russell, great grandchildren Marissa (Ricky) Bidwell and Katie Kaminsky; great great grandchildren Hallie Dix and Makenzie Bidwell; nieces Julie (Bob)Tomazin, Norma Underwood, and Nancy (Doug) Turner. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Francis K. Buck Bucky, sister Vera VanSusan and brothers Carl and Theodore VanSusan. Sylvia was a long time employee of Tappans, through its transitions to Pargas and now Suburban. She had a great admiration for her garden, as well as a love for sewing since childhood when she made her own doll clothes. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
