Clarinda “Sue Rudolph

Binghamton, NY

Clarinda "Sue" Rudolph, 64, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, surrounded by her adoring family. Born on October 3, 1959, Sue was the daughter of Julia (Lyon) Holden, the late Robert Bowen.

Sue will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of over four decades, Raymond Rudolph, together, they built a family foundation of love and laughter that will endure through generations. She was a proud mother to her children, Amy (Thomas) Arnold, Ray Jr. (Erin) Rudolph, Brandon (Krystal) Rudolph, and Randy (Nicole West) Rudolph. Her role as a grandma was one she cherished with all her heart, showering her grandchildren, Audrey, Britney, Cade, Ray III, Sydney, Madison, Tyler, Matthew, Harper, and Addalyn, with affection and wisdom. The family tree continued to blossom with her great-grandchild, Avena, a new branch that brought her immense joy.

Sue's legacy is also carried on by her three brothers and five sisters, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond and countless cherished memories. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins will fondly remember her for her ever-present smile and her ability to make each family gathering a memorable occasion.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her beloved stepfather Ray Holden, and her son Jeremy Rudolph.

An avid reader, Sue found solace and adventure within the pages of her favorite books. Her passion for the outdoors was evident in the countless trips she and Ray took in their RV, exploring the beauty of nature. An enthusiastic swimmer, Sue's love for the water was infectious, always eager to swim each summer.

Sue's dedication to her family was paralleled only by her patriotism and pride in her country, values she upheld with reverence and joy. Her role as the wife of a retired Air Force veteran was one she held in high esteem, supporting her husband through his service and beyond.

We will gather to remember Sue on Thursday, September 12, 2024, for a period of visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig Street, Newark Valley, NY.
