Steven Leroy Harding

Steven "Uncle Steve" Harding, 68, of Owego, passed away on July 13,2022. He is survived by his sister and best friend Beverly Slack, whom he loved and protected until his very last breath, sister Brenda Edsall, and brothers, Michael Joslin, Timothy Harding, and Robert Harding, Jr. and their families. Steve is predeceased by his parents Robert Harding Sr. and Mary Doan and his step-mother Joyce Hoag. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and an employee of the former Endicott Johnson Shoe Company and currently employed at Court Jester Hotel in Johnson City. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and play racketball. He also loved Elvis and old cars and never really left the 70s. Steve was a kid at heart and prior to his illness, he loved food. TONS of it! He could consume 3 lbs of spaghetti, 3 lbs of hot dogs and half a turkey... both legs of course! Steve had a very special relationship with each of his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was blessed and honored to be a part of 3 generations and to watch each grow into adulthood with families. What a beautiful life he lived! How proud he was to have shared his life with each and every one. And how proud they all were to have Uncle Steve" in their lives! He had a special way of making his family laugh with his shenanigans. Memories, Love, Honor, Respect.The best of the best! No one could ever be a better man, step-father, brother, son, friend, or uncle. Forever our "Uncle Steve." A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 27th, at 1pm.
