Steven J. Barrett

Steven J. Barrett, 42, of Newark Valley, passed away very suddenly as a result of an auto accident on Friday, October 16, 2015 in Cortland County. Steve is a cherished son of James M. and Judith (Allyn) Barrett; a beloved brother of Shawn (Kim) Barrett and Jay Barrett and an uncle to Donovan. He is also survived by his Aunt and Uncle, Marge and Jerry Barrett and his cousins: Leigh, David, Michael, John and Connie.Steve was a graduate of Newark Valley High School and a lead sales person for Time Warner in Ithaca and Cortland, a position he really enjoyed and took great pride in. He had the ability to almost talk the ears off an elephant--- but always in a very endearing manner. His presence will be greatly missed not only by his loving family but also by the many friends he came in contact with during his lifetime.In honoring Steves wishes, his family will Celebrate His Life with his friends on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Church Hall, Rock St. from 1-4 pm.
