Steven E. Riley

Steven E. Riley, 56 of Lisle, passed away surrounded in the love of his devoted father Elwyn Riley and loyal sister Terri Riley on Oct. 23, 2017. Steve is also survived by Kathy and George Way, Rick and Janet Ellis, Lori and Bill Swartout and daughter Aubrey, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Pauline Riley, step mother Gwen Ellis-Riley and life partner Herb Gehm. Steve earned his Associate Degree in Business Administration from TC3 and was also a graphic designer. He utilized his God given artistic talents in producing beautiful photographs, landscapes, Native American jewelry and artwork, writing music as well as playing the guitar and trumpet. He was a devoted naturalist able to visualize potential beauty in every object, a huntsman and outdoorsman who could and did live off the land. Steve has physically left this earth but his spirit soars on! Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Vestal Park Nursing and Rehab for the care given to Steve. Friends are invited to join Steves family at MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley to share memories on Friday from 2 until 3 oclock at which time a Memorial Service will be celebrated with Pastor Michael Brink officiating.
