Sharon D. Brown

Sharon D. Brown, 76, formerly of Newark Valley, passed away on Dec. 11, 2020 due to complications resulting from Multiple Sclerosis, a disease she has fought for many years. Sharon is survived by her sons: Todd and Susan Brown, Jan Brown and Cinnamon Conrad; her grandchildren Mickae, Charlotte Charli, Jesse, Zach, Tyler, Nora, Abby and 2 great grandchildren; her sisters: Linda Ferguson and Karen Partridge; Doug Brown and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Forrest and Charlotte (Tingley) Waterman, her sister Mary Lynn Waterman and her brother-in-law, Jim Ferguson. Sharon was a graduate of Newark Valley High School, Class of 62. For many years, she was employed as a medical office assistant for various physicians in the area and retired from Lourdes Family Practice in Owego. Always outgoing and friendly, it could easily be said she knew almost everyone in Newark Valley and the surrounding areas. She loved her family, her work, attending her sons sporting events when they were in school, knitting, crocheting and her flower gardens. Over the years she had quite a few pets and they were all special to her, especially Abby! At this time there will be no services.
