Sarah "Sally' L. Bushnell

Sarah L. (Sally) Bushnell, 91, of Cicero, formerly of Newark Valley, NY passed away at her home on Sept. 24, 2015. Sally was born on Jan 11, 1924 a daughter of the late James R. and Elsie M. (Bowen) Simmons. She was also predeceased by her husband of 59 years, L. Robert Bushnell (2001) and her sister, Anne Marie Mattson.She is survived by her children: James (Inca) Bushnell, of Rensselaer, Daniel (Pamela) Bushnell, and their son Brett, of Clay, Michael (Maria) Bushnell, and Andrea L. Bushnell all of CA. Also surviving are her sisters Helen Myott and Jane S. Wiltse, sister-in-law, Dorla P. Nary and several nieces and nephews. Sally was Salutatorian, Newark Valley High School Class of 1942. She lovingly devoted her life to her family.Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service and Celebration of Sallys Life with her family at the Cicero United Methodist Church at 1 PM on Monday, Sept. 28. A service will also be held at 11 am on Tuesday at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley, NY. Rev. Everett J. Bassett, Sallys pastor, will officiate.
