Sandra L Rupert

Sandra L. Rupert, 70, of Newark Valley, passed away on Feb. 21, 2017 following an illness. Sandi is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Mark Rupert, her loving children: Shina (Michael) Harris, Jeffery (Chrissy Smith) Rupert and her cherished grandchildren Mackenzie, Sullivan, Trentyn and Collin. Also surviving are her siblings: Gene, Doug, Larry, Bob, Mat, Wayne, Vicki and Deb; many nieces, nephews and her very supportive extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Avis Gorsline.Sandi was a graduate of Newark Valley High School class of 65. She was an employee of the former Howland Brothers, Berkshire and IBM (EIT), Endicott. With six brothers and the Rupert clan to contend with, she became a football and NASCAR fan; she also volunteered for the Berkshire Emergency Squad, studying diligently to achieve her EMT and IV Tech status; loved to tend to her beautiful perennial gardens and was a great cook. More than anything, she loved her family who all agree she was an amazing role model for Motherhood! There will be a gathering for family and friends at the Berkshire Fire Station on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 1-3 pm. All are invited to come and share stories and memories.
