December 27, 1937 — November 1, 2022

Sandra J. Warren, 84, of Newark Valley, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2022 following a period of declining health. Sandy is survived by her children Harold Warren, Tracy M (Jeannie) Warren, Connie (Jeff) Van Brocklin, and Holly (Cullen) Miller. Also surviving are her brothers: Merle U. Prentice, Jr., and Robert (Jan) Prentice; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sandy was predeceased by her parents Merle U. Sr and Violet (Eberlin) Prentice and her sister Lois Hollister. She was a graduate of Newark Valley High School class of 1955 and was a long-time and very active member of the Newark Valley Congregational Church where she taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon. Additionally, she was a very active member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 196 since 1974 serving as Matron 5 times, and as Grand Chaplin. She greeted everyone with a sincere smile, shared a wonderful sense of humor, loved to bowl, cook and play cards, deliver Meals on Wheels and travel. She also found time to make silk flower arrangements and corsages, knit and sew snuggle blankets for all her family. Sandy will truly be missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 oclock on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Newark Valley United Church of Christ on Main St. Under the guidance of MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
