Surrounded by her family and those that meant the world to her, Sandra J. Case, 78, of Berkshire went to her heavenly home and is now reunited with her husband Clayton. Sandra was born on May 26, 1943 in Ithaca, NY a daughter of the late Arthur and Edyth (Wilkinson) Humphrey. She was a graduate of Dryden High School class of 1961. It was shortly there after, on October 22nd, she married Clayton D. Case and together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage until his passing on June 29, 2011. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Sandra opened her home and heart to care for many young children. Her greatest pleasure was to give whatever she had to others. Sandra lived life with grace, dignity and courage. She was a lifetime member of the Berkshire Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary and Berkshire United Methodist Church. She will forever live in the hearts of her children: her daughters and son-in-law: PeggyAnn (Fred) Davis and Melinda Russell. Her cherished grandchildren: Philip, Melissa, Donna and Shawn Davis and Shania Armstrong. Eight great grandchildren and was excited about another arrival coming in July. Her siblings: Arta Tarby, Leroy Humphrey, Alice Kinsman, Greg (Sue) Humphrey. Her sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Tyke Case, Robert (Mary) Case. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. Sandra was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her husband Clayton, her daughter Donna and her son-in-law Rodney Russell. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, January 22 from 10 to 12 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. A funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Sandra will be laid to rest on her birthday in the Evergreen Cemetery.
