Ruth H. Glasser

Ruth H. Glasser, 95, of Newark Valley, passed away on Oct. 20, 2015 following a period of declining health. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Harley R. and Mabel (Huxter) Hammond, brothers, Harley, J. Clifford, Arthur and David, her husband of 53 years, Walter Glasser and niece, Jami Whitehead. Surviving are nieces and nephews: Bill, Tom, Jack, Arthur, Harley, Susan, Carol and Lisa Hammond, Barbara Headrick, Katherine Gombas, Sally Dingman and Sharon Bellenoit. Ruth was a graduate of Garfield Hospital School of Nursing and served in the US Army Nurse Corps in India during WW 2. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and living in many different states throughout the US. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Sat. in Hope Cemetery with her dear friend, Debbie Manweiler, officiating. Military Honors will be accorded.
