Rosemary PayneOf Berkshire, NYRosemary Payne, 76, of Berkshire, NY passed away at home on Saturday, July 19, 2008 surrounded by her loving sons. She was born on December 6, 1931 in Marathon, NY, a daughter of the late Webster and Frances (Kingsbury) Allen. Rosemary is survived by her cherished sons: Duane (Lisa) Payne, Fort Lauderdale, FL., Paul Payne, Gordy Payne both of Berkshire; her brothers: Gary (Betty) Allen, Richford, Larry Allen, Bruce (Sharon) Allen both of Marathon, NY; her sisters: Violet (Frank) Payne, Berkshire, Joyce (Art) Payne, Marathon, Donna Canfield, Harford Mills, NY; her grandchildren: David & Stacey Payne, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Ben Payne, Syracuse and Jennifer Payne, Cortland. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence and sisters: Gloria Allen and Daisy Allen Hammond. Rosemary graduated from Marathon Central High School in 1949. She was a member of the Womens Auxiliary of the Berkshire Fire Department, past president of the Berkshire Senior Citizens. She loved to read books. A Celebration of her Life will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Nancy Adams officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Berkshire.
