Rosemary Niznik

On July 28, 2022, along with her heavenly family, Divine Angels of Mercy said: "Leave your earthly pain and suffering and come on home." it was then that they escorted our mother, Rosemary Niznik, reuniting her in heaven, with her husband of 50 years, Richard J Niznik Sr. She was also welcomed into her heavenly home by her parents, Stanley Grabowski and Alice Grabowski Zimmer and her beloved granddaughter, Sydney Alexandra Cook. Rose was born September 18, 1947, living most of her life as a Tioga County resident. Rose graduated from Newark Valley High School in 1965. She also obtained an Associate Degree in Accounting from Broome Community College. Rose enjoyed many things, one of which was golfing. It was a passionate hobby that she shared with her husband. Another passion was the art of crocheting. It brought her great joy, especially creating beautiful hats, mittens, sweaters and blankets for infants, which she happily donated to many local charities. Rose is survived by her four loving children: Her three daughters, Kim Niznik (Willard Cook), Kathleen (Kenny) Cook, Karen (Steve) Currier and her son, Rick Niznik (Brian Grant). Her grandchildren brought her much joy, Sierra Beebe, Austin Beebe, Thomas Cook and Ethan Currier. She is also survived by her two sisters, Irene English and Marge Liebe. Rose will be remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and a large extended family. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Newark Valley, NY on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 11am.
