Robert R. Bahny

Robert R. Bahny, 92, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2012. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Frank Kania; his sister, Helen Muzek; his grandchildren: Rob and his wife Holly and Kristin and their mother, Suzanne; Amber and her mother, Diane; Beth and her husband Tom, David and Laura. Also surviving are his great grandchildren: Josie and Celia, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family.Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Lee R. and Grace (Thomas) Bahny, his wife Hilda, his son, Lee R. Bahny, his brothers and sisters: Arian, Harry, Joie and Louise. Bob enjoyed gardening, especially tending his roses, photography and travelling. He was a great tinkerer and rebuilt many bicycles for his grandchildren as well as for others. A funeral service and celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley with Rabbi Barbara Goldman-Wartell officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Berkshire.
