Robert Marshall, Jr

Robert Marshall, Jr., 96,of Richford & also formerly of Ithaca, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2013 following a period of declining health. Bob is survived by his daughter Judith (Richard) Thurston, sons; Robert Marshall III and Timothy Marshall. Also surviving are his brother, Richard Marshall, and sister, Marjorie Hughes, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings; Mary Loos, Kathleen Fowler, and Rexford Marshall.Bob was born in Richford, NY, the son of Bessie and Robert Marshall, Sr. He was a Veteran of the US Navy serving during WW II. For more than 40 years, as a member of Locksmith and Carpenters Union 603, he was an employee of Cornell University. His memberships included: American Legion Post, Whitney Point, VFW Post,Ithaca, BPOE and FOE. His all time favorite sport was golfing. He loved to watch matches and even more to play the game!!A Celebration of Bobs Life will be held at the Highland Cemetery in Richford, NY on Monday, July 1 at 11 am. Rev. James T. Willard will officiate. Full Military Honors will be accorded.
