Robert M. Big Bob English, 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2008.Bob is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 32 years, Nancy (Deuel) English, his children Kelly and Chris Hoyt, Matt English and Dulcie Karpensky, Papas little Angels...his cherished grandchildren, Sierra and Ryan Hoyt. Also surviving are his father, Robert E. English, sisters, Doris (Dave) Bame, Barb (Dean) Perry, Julie Billet, Patty (Gary) Woolever, brothers Craig (Becky) English, Jim English, brother-in-law, Rev. Frank Watson, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and his faithful canine companion, Gypsy.Bob was born on Feb. 13, 1951 in Johnson City. He was predeceased by his mother, Doris Helen (Hoskins) English, his sister Linda Watson and brother-in-law, Bill Billet.For twenty years, Bob, aka, Nine Fingered Cowboy, owned and operated his own tractor trailer with Nancy as his co-driver on many of the mid-west and east coast trips. He was well known for his cooking skills, especially his spiedies, at local racetracks. For a while he and Nancy also ran B&N Spiedies Etc. Family Restaurant in Newark Valley. A loving husband, dad, papa and friend, he will be missed by all.A funeral service and celebration of Bobs life will be held at 11 am Saturday at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St, Newark Valley with his brother-in-law, Rev. Frank Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery. The family will receive their friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home.
