Robert J. Deboyace

Robert J DeBoyace, 72, formerly of Newark Valley, lost his battle with cancer on December 18th, 2014 at The Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, NC. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy; his sons, Brian DeBoyace, Scott and Justine DeBoyace, their two beautiful daughters who were the joy of Bobs life: Brooklyn and Mackenzie. Also surviving are his brother James and Theresa DeBoyace, his sister, Jackie and Dave Racket, Newark Valley, several nieces, nephews and cousins.Bob served in the US Air Force and was a veteran of Vietnam. He was a retired employee of IBM/Lockheed Martin in Owego. Following retirement he and Nancy became full time motor home travelers and enjoyed many areas of the country from Texas and California to Lake Bonin in PA. Bob was an avid sports enthusiast enjoying fishing, NASCAR racing and his great Buffalo Bills! A man with a wonderful sense of humor, his presence would light up a room with smiles and laughter. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.Friends are invited to share memories with Bobs family at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St. Newark Valley on Tuesday evening, Dec. 23rd, from 6-8 pm.
