Robert Holt

Robert E. Holt, 75, passed away at his home on June 28, 2020, surrounded in the love of his family. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Floyd and Aline Holt, his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda, and his brother Jim. He is survived by his wife Shari, his daughters: Robin (Mark) Keith, Sheila (Dan) ORourke, Shelly Rounseville and son Robert (Christy) Holt, Jr.; brothers: Richard, Floyd and Mike; grandchildren: Mark, Jason, Jessica, Toni, Patrick, Kayla, Emily, Arianna, Aiden, Lexi, Tristan, Damien; great grandchildren: Charley, Kenny, Logan, Alyssa, Peter, Bowen, Ryder, Hunter, Wade, Cole and Travis; chosen daughter Beth Hockman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Bob was a well-known and respected member of the community. He owned and operated Holts Plumbing and Heating , took great pride in his work and in every task he tackled including building his own garden tractor that he thoroughly enjoyed taking to tractor pulls. He was a great storyteller and avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family. He also drove a race car at the local dirt tracks, was a loyal friend who would literally give you the shirt off his back and was a member of the Berkshire Fire Dept. Nothing filled Bobs heart more than the love he had for his family! A period of visitation will be held at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Saturday July 11th from 10 until noon followed by a funeral service at 12 pm with all state required social distancing guidelines being followed. Burial will be in Glen Hope Cemetery. All are also invited to attend a celebration of Bobs Life at the Keith farm at 3 oclock.
