Robert EmersonFormerly of RichfordRobert Emerson, 74, of Tulsa, OK, formerly of Richford, passed away on July 20, 2014 at his home after a 6 year battle with throat and lung cancer. Bob was born on February 13, 1940 in Richford, the son of Jennie (Nixon) and the late Leon Emerson. He attended a small one room school house on Hog Hollow Rd in Richford prior to attending Newark Valley High School.In addition to his mother Jennie Emerson, he is survived by his sister Bonnie and Joseph Hutchings, all of Bershire, his nephew Shawn Hutchings of Hiram, GA and his aunt, Helen Allen of Harford Mills, NY. There will be no services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Berkshire. Bobs family extends a special Thank You to his caregivers Becky, Lynn, Charles and St. Johns Hospice Care.
