Robert B. Brown, Jr.

Robert B. Brown, Jr., 83, formerly of Maine,NY, currently of Whitney Point, passed away suddenly on July 7, 2012. He is survived by his wife Betty Brown, and children: Mark J (Georgia) Brown, Richard (Marsha) Brown, Wayne Brown, LuAnn (Mark) Brown. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Matthew, Randi, Anthony, Candi, Ian, Ashley, Jesse, Mark Jr., Jason, Heather, Amy, Craig and 26 great grandchildren.Bob was born on May 27, 1929 in Endicott, the son of the late Elsie E. (Squires) and Robert B. Brown Sr. He was also predeceased by a great grandson Gavin. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army and a retired employee of IBM, Endicott. Bob was a member of the Nanticoke United Methodist Church and the Maine American Legion. He enjoyed antique cars and was a great cook.His family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, from 10-11 am at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley. A service and celebration of his life will follow at 11 am with Pastor Ray Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in the Maine Cemetery with military honors accorded.
