Richard L. Gritman

Richard L. Gritman, (Rich or Dick) 81, of Endicott, passed away on Oct. 4, 2016 following a period of declining health.Richard is survived by his daughter (whom he adored) and son-in-law, Karen and Michael Williams, his grandsons..the light of his life Collin and Tyler Williams, his brother, David Gritman and sisters, Helen (Vincent) Belle, Shirley Howard, sister-in-law, Dorothy Gritman and several nieces, nephews and cousins.He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Marion Gritman; his brothers: Wesley, Ralph, James Gritman and sister, Beverly Cannon; his in laws: Mary Gritman, Bernard (Bunny) Howard, and James Cannon.Dick attended Vestal High School and served in the US Army from 1958-1964. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Broome County Transit; a collector of everything; enjoyed fishing and being helpful; absolutely loved to driveschool bus, transport vehiclesanything with wheels and most of all, he enjoyed being with his family especially, his adored grandsons.Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation at the MacPherson Funeral Home on Sunday OCT. 16, 2016 from 12-2 pm followed by Military Honors and a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Daniel Eddings officiating.A Committal Service will be held at Nanticoke Valley Cemetery.
