Richard K Davis

Richard K. Davis, 78, formerly of Newark Valley, NY went to the big racetrack in the sky on Dec. 25, 2021. He was an avid NASCAR fan as well as a car-buff all of his life. Raised in Newark Valley and graduate of Newark Valley High School, he was an active athlete, participating in basketball, track and baseball and made many life-long friends. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam and later was employed as a tool maker at Smith-Corona in Cortland. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Harley and Kathryn Davis and brother Marty Davis. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Arlene Davis, his daughters: Sandra (Roger) Olmstead and Jennifer Davis (fiance Robert Little), and granddaughter Grace Olmstead whom he was very proud of. Friends are invited to join his family at 9:30 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley for a grave side service. Military Honors will be accorded.
