Richard "Dick" Green, Sr.

Richard 'Dick' Green Sr., 76, of Lisle, New York, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on January 1, 1949, Dick was a son of the late Charles and Jean “Betty” (Mikels) Green.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Kilpatrick) Green, his children Kim (Brian) David, Diane Hyde, Maggie (Jason) Waibel, Michelle Komar, Barbie (Ben) Kadaronak, Rob (Wendy) Drew, Rich (Casey) Green, Jr., Butch (Toni) Green, and Kelley (Ben) Lane, along with his treasured 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Dick will also be missed by his best friend Tee, his ‘hunting buddies’ at Goose Haven, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to send a special Thank You to Dick’s granddaughters Alyssa, Lindsay, and Addison for their special care given to their grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters: Joann Lashway, Sue Bentley, Nina Soper, and Sharon Walter.

An avid hunter, fisherman, and camper, Dick was his happiest surrounded by the great outdoors, especially if he had the company of his family with him. At home, his hands were rarely still, and he could often be found tinkering in the garage, having the ability to fix anything that came his way.

A family man at his core, Dick reveled in the accomplishments of his children. He was especially fond of watching his sons as they pursued their passion for racing. This support extended to his grandchildren, whose races he watched with pride and excitement. Even when he was unable to watch, he always eagerly awaited hearing about each race.

His easygoing nature and compassionate heart made him a beloved figure in his community. For many years, Dick donned the red suit and white beard to play Santa at the Glen Aubrey Fire Station.
