Raymond J. RappoltOf Newark ValleyRaymond J. Rappolt, 56, passed away at his home on August 4, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Kingston, NY, Ray was the son of Phyllis and the late Raymond C. Rappolt. In addition to his mother, Phyllis Rappolt of Newark Valley, he is survived by his brothers: Robert Rappolt, Christopher and Debra Rappolt, and his sister, Susan Gallagher. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews whom he just adored and loved to shower with gifts: Sean, Brian, Kevin, Annmarie and Kaitlyn Gallagher, Samuel, Maxwell, and Kassidy Rappolt; his uncles: Noel Butch and Jay Stanley; and his special friend Mary Fisher and family. In addition to his father, he was also predeceased by his uncle Richard Stanley.Ray enjoyed driving truck for Lopke and working with his fellow employees. In his nonworking hours, he was happy with a fishing pole in hand, watching stock car racing, hunting and being with his family. Ray also had a second family at Dunkin Donuts in Owego. He just loved DD coffee! Rays family will receive friends on Thursday,Aug. 7th from 11am until 1oclock at the MacPherson Funeral Home in Newark Valley. A Celebration of His Life will follow there at 1pm.
