Ralph A. Walter

Ralph A. Walter, 85, passed away at his home on Sept. 3, 2014 following a period of declining health. Ralph is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Roland Ron and Karen Walter, J.R. and Debra Walter, Howard and Helen Walter; a brother, Ward Walter; his grandchildren: Ben, Lucas, Brett, Ryan, Trevor, Tyler, Travis and Brad Walter and Sarah Carney; 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his former daughter-in-law, Martha Walter.Ralph was born in Endicott, NY, a son of the late Clayton and F. Leona Walter. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Laura and daughters, Cindy and Carolyn. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1946 to 1949 and has owned and operated a dairy farm in Newark Valley for the past 46 years. In addition to farming, he was employed at Broome Community College for 39 years. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Maine Cemetery.
