Phyllis E. Simpsonof Newark ValleyPhyllis E. Simpson, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Phyllis is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Gerald Richard, Jr., and Lori Simpson and Tammy Lou and Leonard Caciola, all of Endicott. Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Lindsay Rae, Ryan Thomas and Troy Jordan Simpson; several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was born on June 28, 1926 in the Town of Newark Valley a daughter of the late Floyd and Florence (Esseltine) Wade. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald on May 6, 1997; and by her two brothers, William and Floyd Wade. Phyllis has been a lifelong resident of Newark Valley. She was a graduate of Newark Valley High School Class of '44 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newark Valley. She was an employee of Tioga County Dept. of Social Services, enjoyed gardening and had a penchant for genealogy. Phyllis' family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley on Saturday May 8th, from 1 to 3 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev.
