Phyllis A Rappolt

Phyllis A. Rappolt, 82, affectionately known as G-ma to many, passed away in the company of her loving family on April 22, 2017 at her home in Newark Valley. Phyllis is survived by her children: Robert Rappolt, Susan Gallagher and Christopher (Debra) Rappolt; her cherished grandchildren: Sean, Annmarie, Brian, Kevin, and Kaitlyn Gallagher, Samuel, Kassidy and Maxwell Rappolt; 8 great grandchildren; her brother, Noel Butch Stanley, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Arnold and Marie Stanley, her husband, Raymond C. Rappolt, her son, Raymond J. Rappolt, and her brothers Richard and Jay Stanley. Phyllis was a 1955 Graduate of Benedictine Hospital School of Nursing, in Kingston and a retired employee of IBM-Loral in Owego. Her talents were many. In addition to demonstrating her love for her family and friends by her many acts of kindness, Phyllis was an artisan with her needle -- well known for her knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was also a Master Gardener, a talented artist and was always game for a new adventure including a ride in a hot air balloon, a white water rafting excursion and a sea plane ride. Phyllis will be greatly missed. Her family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Saturday, April 29th from 1-3 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 3 pm with Rev. James T. Willard, officiating.
