Your wings were ready but our hearts were not. From day one, July 31, 1961 August 2, 2018, Penny has brought ultimate joy into the lives of everyone she touched! Though our hearts are broken now, this joy, this light, this being, also known as Mom, Bagga, Gracie, Pencil, Speedy, Homer and probably many other endearing names by the many, many friends Penny has made, will remain a very positive force in our lives. Her memory will be with us always as will her distinctive laugh now ringing out in heaven! Pennys family was her treasure.the love of her life, Giff; her children and grandchildren: Randy and his sons Liam and Rocky, Marty (fianc Jessica), daughters, Jamie (Fiance Joey) and their daughter, Natalie; step-children: Ciarra; Rodney (Stephanie) and son Nathaneal, Ricky and Reno; her mother, Joan, her siblings: Diane (Kevin), Bonnie (Jerry), John (Lori), Michael (Chiara), Mary (John) and Mark. Many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, her childrens father, Paul, and dear friends including Patti, Terry and Fritz, Giffs mother Sherry, and her beloved dog Barley also survive. She was predeceased by father, Gerald, Sr., brother, Gerald, Jr., sister, Patty, niece, Dina, nephew, Keith and sister-in-law, Pam. Penny graduated from Newark Valley High School, was a member of the Catholic Church and served as a Eucharist Minister at Most Holy Rosary Church in Maine. She was a state-of-the-art role model for her own kids as well as the hundreds of school kids she drove on her bus over the last 30 years. She loved (to name a few) crafting, ceramics, flea markets, garage sales, cooking, baking, gardening, silver and turquoise jewelry, flip-flops and carried a "200 pound purse" with her wherever she went. We all love you Penny! To Honor Penny and her incredible generosity, Pennys Book Bag Fund has been established with the Newark Valley School District bus-drivers union.
