Patricia A. Ballard Birchall

Patricia Ballard Birchall, 81, of Endicott and formerly of Maine and Newark Valley, passed peacefully away on May 7, 2015 following a period of declining health.Pat was born in the Town of Maine, NY on June 19, 1933 a daughter of the late Durwood and Mildred (Knapp) Dence. Pat is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Denise Ballard, John and Gina Ballard and Sibyl Ballard; step children, Karen Avedesian and John (Karen) Birchall; as well as several grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In her early years, Pat was an elementary school teacher in Newark Valley and was a member of the First Congregational Church. She enjoyed traveling and camping especially in the Adirondacks, was a member of Common Thread Quilters Guild and volunteered at the Newark Valley Historical Society.Her family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home in Newark Valley on Tuesday from 1-2 pm. A Funeral Service will follow there at 2 pm with Rev. Dov Theiman officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
