O. Joan French

O. Joan French, 81, of Newark Valley, passed away on Nov. 11, 2015. She is survived by her children: James French(Helen), Larry French(Tammy) and Cheryl French (Tom), Wendy Tiffany (Tim); brother and sisters: Clayton (Eileen) Clark, Frances (Jack) Smith, Carol (Mike) McDonald, and Beverly Lyons, 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Gertrude M. Heylmun and daughter Marlene Morris. In her earlier years, Joan enjoyed buying, restoring and selling antiques. She was an excellent cook and baker and will be remembered for the many large family dinners she hosted.Family and friends are invited to a time of sharing and visiting at the MacPherson Funeral Home on this Saturday from 5-7 pm.
