Neal W. 'Mooch' Coyne, Jr., 60, of Maine, passed away on December 7, 2020. Neal will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Liz; his children Nicholas (Heidi) Coyne, Kimberly (Ken S.) Coyne, Corey (Jenna) Coyne, Kendal (Joey) Dore; his precious grandchildren Justin, Megan, Lorelei, Brayden, Kamryn, Skylar, Harper, Ledger; adopted children Mikey (#1 Son) and Malecia Brie; and his siblings Tammy Harman, Jerry Harman, Jimmy Coyne, Dan Seymour, and Penny Coyne. He was predeceased by his son Jason Coyne, mother Beverly (Borden) Hoskins, father Neal W. Coyne Sr., step father Robert 'Pop' Hoskins, and brother Ricky Card. Neal wore many hats in his life. He loved his family and was a mentor to others. He was a prankster and a wonderful storyteller, gifted with a quick wit. Neal was known for his out of the box thinking when posed with a mechanical problem. He was willing to take jobs that no one else wanted, making him an excavation specialist as a Bobcat skidsteer artist. Neal had many fond memories of time spent at Long Lake with his grandparents. In later years, he relished his time as a grandfather, taking his grandchildren out on Gator rides. Neal most treasured his time visiting with friends and family, but also enjoyed kicking his feet up in the recliner and watching his favorite Westerns and the cooking channel. From his youth, he had an interest in fast cars and old trucks, and passed this love down to his children. A lifelong resident of Maine, Neal was a big part of the local color. He was a member of a group called "The Barber Shop" at the Octagon. Friends and family are invited to the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, for a period of visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 16th from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of his life will be held there on Friday Dec. 18th at 2 o'clock. Memories and condolences may be written in Mooch's guestbook at macphersonfh.com.
