She was a life time resident of Newark Valley and very proud of where she came from and of being part of the Waterman clan. She entered the workforce right out of high school and learned to solder on circuit boards and eventually became an inspector. Her favorite place of employment was Hidden Valley Electronics which she left to stay at home with her family. She raised her family with a sense of pride of being a Cardinal and a Waterman, and taught us all that family comes first. Even if you werent officially a Hurlburt or a Waterman if she decided you were family you were family. Established in 2004 the Lily Pad Lounge opened for all her family and friends as a place to relax and enjoy the summers. She loved being surrounded by those who meant the most to her and for those newcomers whom she welcomed with open arms. She will be greatly missed on summer nights at the Lily Pad Lounge. We know that she will be watching over us with her Dad, Arnie, Vivian, and her good friends, especially Corky and Billy.Funeral services will be held at McPhersons funeral home on Thursday February 16, 2012 with calling hours from 10 - 12 and a service at 12.
