She then married Jim Howland and moved to Berkshire where they started a business and raised their son. When they retired they moved and lived out their retirement years in Lake Placid, Florida. The past six years she moved back to NY to be closer to family at Lehigh Crossing in Freeville. This is where she made many good friends and enjoyed her wonderful neighbors. Nancy was a member of the Berkshire Congregational Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She spent much of her time as a beekeeper for Howland Apiaries a/k/a Howlands Honey as she was a co-founder with her husband Jim. Above all, Nancy cherished time spent with her family, and she will be greatly missed. There is not a person who met or knew her who didnt comment on her kindness and her sweet personality.
