Nancy J. Smith, 71, of Harpursville, passed away at her home on July 15, 2013.Nancy is survived by: her son Edward C. (Deborah) Smith, daughter Francine (Kevin) Cross,brother, Herbert A. Spicer and sisters, Rita Spicer McLain and Virginia Langley, several nieces, nephews and her faithful canine companion Rusty. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert A. and Jeannette Spicer, son, Mark Alan Smith and husband, Edward Smith. Nancy had a very kind heart and was very passionate in her beliefs.Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Maine Cemetery. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be written in her guestbook at macphersonfh.com
