Nancy Carolyn Briggs

Nancy C. Briggs, 84, of Owego and formerly of Pittsfield MA and Florida, passed away on July 14, 2015. Born on May 28, 1931, in Pittsfield, MA she was the daughter of William and Doris (Tuggey) Briggs. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, William N. and Neeltje Briggs; and her nieces and nephew who all adored her: Meg, Carol, Susan, April and Alan as well as their spouses and children. At one time, Nancy was employed as a process engineer at Sprague Electric Co. in Adams, MA.. She later was an educator, teaching Mathematics at Taconic High School, in Pittsfield and at Boca Raton High School, in FL. Nancy enjoyed the children she taught, family reunions and many happy and fun times with her family and friends. For the past 6 years, while residing at Riverview Manor Nancy has received wonderful loving care by all and especially by Debbie and Sue. At her request, services will be private. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting the family.
