N. Hector Schram

N. Hector Schram, 82, of Elmira, formerly of Newark Valley, passed away suddenly on April 8, 2017 at his home. Hector is survived by his children: Peter Schram, Sean (Kristen) Davis, James Paul (Michella), Horace Beaver, Jr. and Cindy Krestos. Also surviving are 2 sisters, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents George and Ida Schram and his wife, Claudette. Hector was very supportive of all his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a hard worker, loved to keep busy, put his 'green thumb' to good use gardening, and his sense of humor kept many smiling. Graveside services were held at Hope Cemetery in Newark Valley on Thursday, April 13, 2017. With Rev. Timothy Middleton, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, Newark Valley, officiating.
