Mildred Crispell

February 14, 1933 — November 28, 2021

Mildred A. Crispell, 88, of Ithaca, passed away at her home on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mildred Andreas, her husband, C. Richard Dick Crispell, her siblings, Alvin, Carl, Melvin and Gloria. Millie is survived by her sons, Richard (Valerie) Crispell, Mikel (Melissa) Crispell and daughter, Linda (Jim) Ganley, her brothers Richard Dick (Shirley) Andreas, William (Carol) Andreas; grandchildren: Kody (Kelly), Vinessa, Kyle, Wyatt (Bethany), Lydia (Eli), Andrew (Kelci), Ted (Lucy), George; greatgrandchildren: Chandler, Chase, Josephine, Melanie, Melissa, Stella, Isla; several nieces, nephews and cousins including Pam, Andrea and Holly. Millie was a graduate of Newark Valley High School, Class of 1952. For many years she and her husband Dick owned and operated Crispell Automotive in Ithaca. Millie cherished and adored her family. As the family matriarch, she never slowed down! Hostess extraordinaire, she lovingly organized and expertly hosted many family events and many car club events as well. Millie was blessed with a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was an avid gardener, a collector of memorabilia, notably Barbie Dolls, was active in a womans bowling league, had a great love for animals and nature, and was a lifetime member of the Southern Tier Antique Truck Club. Millie actually designed the family home and happily lived in the comfort of it until her passing. Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation and sharing of memories at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Monday, Dec. 6 from 10 am until noon at which time a Celebration of Her Life will be held with Father Richard Schaal officiating. Spring burial will be in the Charles Mulks Cemetery. Millies family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Hospice at Home for their help and support.
