Michael A Camardo, Jr., 59, of Endwell, passed away at his home on August 28, 2023 following an illness.

Michael is survived by his grammar school sweetheart and loving wife, Patricia ‘Papi’ Strasser Camardo; his daughters: Kaitlynn and Amanda, his father, Michael A Camardo, Sr., his brother Mark (Kim) Camardo, and sister Michelle Camardo, his step-son, Hunter (Alexalee Chaffee) Thomas, his step-daughter, Padiann Thomas, and step-grandchildren: Aspen, Bristol and Salem Thomas, his mother-in-law Patricia Strasser, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Dona (Schiavo) Camardo and his father-in-law, Frank Strasser.

Michael and his faithful canine companion Petunia shared a very special relationship and bond with each other.

Michael retired from the US Navy in 2004 following 21 years of faithful and dedicated service to his country.

Following his retirement from the Navy he was employed as an engineer for a health-related facility, a position he thoroughly enjoyed.

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at a later date and will be announced. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting his family with arrangements.
